Little Corellas and Sulphur-crested Cockatoos

Traralgon's oak trees attract big flocks of Little Corellas sometimes, and this week we were lucky to have a flock visit our street's trees. While gold-detecting at one of the local parks we came across some Sulphur-crested Cockatoos catching some zzz's in another oak tree, so I took the opportunity to take advantage of the dappled sunlight and get a few snapshots of them.

Rainbow Lorikeets on an apple tree

Sunday, 1st March, 2020

En route to the supermarket in the afternoon these Rainbow Lorikeets were making a meal of a local resident's apples in Traralgon, Victoria. Some of the bolder ones stayed to pose for pics in the tree, however the light wasn't great for photography given the overcast sky and rain clouds brewing. Photos by Jarret Purkis
